Learning Alliance:
Our Multi-Academy Trust
All new schools now open as academies which means that Longford Park Primary Academy is not under the direct control of the local authority.
Gloucestershire County Council embarked on a thorough consultation and bid process, recommending the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) to the Department for Education as preferred sponsors. The GLA were delighted that the secretary of state for education approved this decision, enabling this local, highly respected trust to run an excellent school for Longford.
The creation of the GLA is rooted in a partnership ethos and a determination to ensure that more Gloucestershire young people receive an exceptional education through outstanding teaching. The benefits to the Longford community include a launch Headteacher and shared capacity of expertise across three schools so that no time is wasted in flying high at Longford Park.
