Within this unit, we explored electrical circuits and different electrical equipment. We discussed how electricity can be used to make light, movement and sound through using bulbs, motors and buzzers. We talked about what we use electricity for and where we might see it. Then, we made electrical safety posters to put around the school. We also learnt about how to draw a simple circuit using different symbols. The children were able to use a switch to break or connect their circuits too. Lastly, the children undertook an investigation to find out which materials are good conductors and insulators.
