Longford Park Primary Academy is a truly exciting place to learn. No day is ever the same and there is always something new to discover.

Our beautiful GLA Trust school and nursery opened in the heart of Longford in September 2017 and has already developed a reputation as an excellent choice for local children. We are all flying high at Longford Park!.

 Hot Weather Guidance (above 30°C

To ensure the health, safety and comfort of pupils during periods of hot weather, especially in our school without air conditioning:

Stay Hydrated

  • Please make sure that children bring a refillable water bottle daily.
  • We will provide regular water breaks throughout the day and allow water bottles on desks during lessons.

Dress Code

  • Please apply sunscreen before school. Children will be encouraged to reapply (if suncream has been provided from home) if outdoors for extended periods (although this will be unlikely).
  • Children to leave hoodies and jumpers at home and dress in light/cool school uniform.

Outdoor Activities

  • We will limit outdoor play during peak heat (11:00am– 3:00pm). Lunch will be inside , dependant on temperature
  • We will provide shaded areas for breaks, if we go out.
  • We will move PE lessons to early morning or indoors & keep exercise light.
