Longford Park Primary Academy is a truly exciting place to learn. No day is ever the same and there is always something new to discover.

Our beautiful Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) Multi-Academy Trust school and nursery opened in the heart of Longford in September 2017 and has already developed a reputation as an excellent choice for local children. We are all flying high at Longford Park!.

Dear Parents and Carers

The Trustees at The GLA Trust are consulting on the proposed admissions policy for entry in 2026/27.

Northway Infant School and Carrant Brook Junior School are now included in this policy having joined the GLA Trust this year. As you are aware, due to falling pupil numbers in the area, Northway reduced the Pupil Admission Number (PAN) to 30 as from September 2024. This means that we now need to review the PAN at Carrant Brook Junior School. We are proposing to reduce the Pupil Admission Number from 60 to 32 from September 2026. This will ensure that all children currently attending the Infant School will be able to transfer across to Carrant Brook Junior School. This proposed reduction has been agreed in principle with place-planning at Gloucestershire County Council.

All queries regarding these admission arrangements should be emailed to admin@glatrust.org.uk by the 14th November 2024.

Thank you for your consideration

Claire Savory
