Welcome to our Year 2 class page. The pupils in Year 2 are enthusiastic and try their best in all areas of their learning. 

Our teacher is Mr Byles. We also have Mrs McKenzie, Miss Allen, and Mrs Vorray who support us in our learning.

 Important Information 

Homework:

- Reading should be completed a minimum of 4 times a week for 15 minutes. Books to be given out beginning Friday 12th September. Children’s books will be changed every Friday if they have read their book 4 times during the week so please record this in your child’s reading diary.
- Numbots: it is recommended that they play for short bursts so we would ask you to give them at least 3 minutes, five times a week to practise. They will receive awards for completing levels.
- Times table Rockstars can also be practised using the same login as Numbots. Children are expected to know their 2, 5 and 10-times table by the end of the year in any random order.

PE kit:

• House coloured t-shirt
• Black shorts
• Black jumper for colder weather
• Black P.E. slip-on or velcro pumps/daps/plimsolls or trainers that the child is able to manage themselves

For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back and earrings removed or covered.

Our PE days are Thursdays. 

Forest School kit:

Children take part in outdoor learning whatever the weather and will need:

• Long thick jogging bottoms
• Long-sleeved t-shirt
• Waterproof coat/ all in one suit
• Wellington boots
• Extra hat, scarf, gloves 

• Please ensure that all of these items are named.

There is no forest school in the Autumn Term 1 for Yellow Class
