Important Information 

Homework:

These are the expectations for homework this term:

• Reading daily for 20 minutes (please record in your child’s reading journal or ensure your child has recorded themselves).
• Times table Rockstars (all times tables) daily for 10 minutes.
• Spellings – word lists will be sent out at the start of each term and tested on Mondays.

PE kit:

• House coloured t-shirt
• Black shorts
• Black jumper for colder weather
• Black P.E. slip-on or velcro pumps/daps/plimsolls or trainers that the child is able to manage themselves

For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back and earrings removed or covered.

Our PE days are Tuesdays (outdoor) and alternate Wednesdays/Thursdays.

Forest School kit:

Children take part in outdoor learning whatever the weather and will need:

• Long jogging bottoms
• Long-sleeved t-shirt
• Waterproof coat/ all in one suit
• Wellington boots
• Sunhat/sun cream 

• Please ensure that all of these items are named.

This year, Forest School sessions for Year 5 will take place in Summer 1 term.
