Welcome
Longford Park Primary Academy at as truly exciting place to learn. No day is ever the same and there is always something new to discover. Our beautiful, new Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) Multi-Academy Trust school and nursery opened in the heart of Longford in September 2017 and has already developed a reputation as an excellent choice for local children. We are all flying high at Longford Park!
Longford Park Little Learners provides high quality nursery and pre-school provision for 2, 3 and 4 year olds in a thoughtfully designed and well-resourced purpose built area of the school building. This provides a rich play-based curriculum focused on exploration and discovery within a safe and nurturing environment. The dedicated nursery manager oversees this exciting learning experience and works closely with the school Reception staff to ensure pre-school children are fully prepared to meet the challenges of their next stage.
Our school is one-form entry with light and airy classrooms allowing all our children to take part in a broad and balanced curriculum. The building is shaped like a horse-shoe with our EYFS and KS1 classrooms on the left hand wing and KS2 on the right hand wing. In the heart of our school is the hall and kitchen where school dinners are cooked on site by our wonderful catering team. Visits are warmly encouraged so do let us know if you'd like a tour to find out how your child could benefit from joining us.
The school building is beautifully designed boasting a great outdoor environment including a forest school area which the children love to learn in. We pride ourselves on ensuring the children are active and challenged at break and lunch times and are constantly evolving the outdoor provision. The school can cater 210 primary pupils. Our corridor spaces provide room for additional learning and useful collaborative space. The children always comment about the joys of using our library area which is stocked with a wide variety of books. We also benefit from having a designated pastoral area to allow children flourish and recognise their feelings.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school and supporting their learning throughout their time with us.
