Meet the Nursery Staff

Laura Miles: Nursery Manager (Currently on Maternity Leave)

Laura joined us prior to opening Little Learners and has managed the nursery prior to maternity leave. She returned in July 2018 to work alongside Emma and the team. Having worked in the early years sector for 10 years, she has gained a wealth of experience which she puts to good use - developing a stimulating and engaging environment  in which children can thrive and develop a love of learning.

Laura is passionate about encouraging children to have fun, be creative and use their imagination, in order for their experiences to be truly valuable. Her commitment to children and to the development of all members of staff has led to her previous setting achieving ‘Outstanding’ in all areas in a recent Ofsted inspection, which is something she aims to replicate at Longford Park Little Learners.

Ann Sullivan: Acting Nursery Manager (Covering Maternity leave)

Ann is a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher with many years of experience working in a variety of settings. She loves to see how the children her care develop and feels a sense of pride having played a part in their reaching their potential.

She is especially interested in promoting curiosity and promoting a love of learning which can carries through their school life.

Emma Madigan: Duty Manager

Emma joined the team at the opening of Little Learners as Deputy Manager. Emma has worked in the early years sector for over 15 years, so has a wealth of experience to bring to the team. During our first year, she stepped in as Acting Nursery Manager and now continues to provide leadership in the role of duty manager. She has enjoyed all the new adventures and experiences during our first year at Longford Park Little Learners.

Dawn Gardner:  Two Year Old Room Lead

Dawn has worked as an early years practitioner for 10 years, she began her love of working with children and their families, during the time when her own children were at playgroup, where she was always a keen parent helper.

Since then she has worked in both playgroup and children's centres, and developed a wide experience, and knowledge of working together with children and their families.

Dawn is passionate about providing a welcoming, safe fun environment, where children can learn and grow as individuals, and families are apart of their children's learning.

Ruth Martin: Early Years Practitioner

Ruth has worked in an early years setting for 30 years. She is passionate about children learning through play and she enjoys seeing children thrive in both the indoor and outdoor environment.

Kirsten Connolly: Early Years Practitioner

Kirsten has worked in Early Years for around 13 years. She has worked in Reception, pre-school and now joined us at Little Learners. Kirsten is passionate about children's learning through varied approaches, such as the Curiosity Approach
