Welcome to Year 4! Here in Purple Class, we are happy, kind and enthusiastic children who enjoy being and learning at school.
Mr Cornick is our class teacher and Mrs Brogan and Mrs Harris support us as well.

Important Information
Homework:
- Reading should be completed every day for 20 minutes. Children’s books are tailored to their reading level and books/levels will be changed after a star reader assessment.- Times Table Rockstar’s Children need to practise TTRS for at least 30 minutes per week. Children are expected to know all their times tables up to 12×12 including division facts by the end of the year in any random order.
PE kit:
- House coloured t-shirt
- Black shorts
- Black jumper for colder weather
- Black P.E. slip-on or velcro pumps/daps/plimsolls or trainers that the child is able to manage themselves
For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back and earrings removed or covered.
Our PE days are Mondays and Fridays.
Forest School kit:
Children take part in outdoor learning whatever the weather and will need:
- Long thick jogging bottoms
- Long-sleeved t-shirt
- Waterproof coat/ all in one suit
- Wellington boots
- Extra hat, scarf, gloves
- Please ensure that all of these items are named.
This year Forest School sessions will take place in Spring Term.
